EVELYN PROKOP, nee Heggie, beloved wife of Steve Prokop passed away in Lethbridge on September 16, 2017 at the age of 82 years after a courageous battle with heart disease.

Evelyn is predeceased by her parents; Velv and Retta Heggie, brothers; Dean, Max, Doug and Gordon, sisters; Ramona Geremia and baby Ila Mae.

She is survived by her husband Steve Prokop, and sons Andrew Prokop and Bob (Abby) Prokop; granddaughters Sadie (Adam) Brenner and Clancy Prokop and two great granddaughters Luka Brenner and Kai Brenner.

After graduating from Raymond High School, Evelyn worked as a comptometer Operator for Royalite Oil, and in retail before taking the job she loved the best as a stay-at-home mom.

Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, Great grandmother, and Mother-in-Law.

Mom very much loved all of her family and was thrilled and very proud of her boys, grandkids and great grandkids. She had a great smile and a very sweet, caring disposition. She was a very special lady and auntie to many nieces and nephews.

Mom was always a great cook and never one to complain about anything. She also loved the many camping trips and always enjoyed any of the family get-togethers and visiting with people. We all loved mom very much and she will be dearly missed.

The Funeral Service will be held at the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS Taylor Street Chapel, 400 W 200 N, Raymond AB, on Saturday September 23, 2017 at 11:00am.

Friends are welcome to meet with the family at SALMON AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 433 Stubb Ross Road South, Lethbridge (entrance to the airport) on Friday September 22, 2017 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm or prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 am at the Church. Interment to follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery.
