Mel passed away in his sleep at home on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 at the age of 63 yrs. He is survived by his children Kristan and Kristina; grandsons Austin and Trevor; 4 sisters (Creston, B.C.); and his partner – “the love of my life” – Lorette Poulette.
Mel was a hardworking, independent, proud and private person who loved being outside among nature whenever he could. He was a good man with a kind and generous heart who helped anyone whenever he could, accepting nothing in return. Mel and I knew we were soulmates the moment we met. We quarreled like most people do, but loved each other deeply for 5 1/2 yrs. I miss him every moment of every day, wherever I go and in whatever I do, and will for my lifetime. Holding hands and walking together always – Lorette.
Cremation held on November 27, 2017.

Sorry to hear about Mel’s passing. I remember him working for Business for a few years.
I will always remember him coming from his daily Donut Shop visits before starting to work.
