Mrs. Anna Toplak of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Anton Toplak, passed away peacefully at St. Therese Villa on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the age of 81 years. Anna was born to her proud parents, Stefan and Katarina Copot on March 8, 1936, in Odranci, Slovenia. Anna immigrated to Canada in 1959, where she met Anton and began their life together. Anna’s home and garden were her pride and joy. She loved her big family meals, and was an excellent cook, and she enjoyed spending time in her beautiful garden. You are reunited with your husband now in God’s house. You will be sadly missed and we all love you. She is survived by her sister Cecilia Kelenc; daughters Bernadette Garrett and Amelia Ivanco; sons-in-law Darren Garrett and Greg Ivanco; granddaughters Kaylee Garrett, Trisha Ivanco and Shae Ivanco; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 – 12 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Father Lukas Drapal, celebrant. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, donations can be made to Alzheimer Society Lethbridge Chapter, #402 – 740 – 4th Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta, T1J 0N9.
