LARRY RICHARD JONES June 20, 1950- February 1, 2018

Larry Richard Jones Loving husband to Colette of Lethbridge for 33 years, passed away peacefully at St. Michaels Palliative Care on February 1, 2018 at the age of 67 years. He is survived by his sister Cheryl (Bill) Sterling, Brother Garry (Sharon) Jones and numerous Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Richard and Roberta Jones, in-laws Thomas and Jeanette Lewko. Larry was the second child born to Richard and Bobbie Jones at the Galt Hospital in 1950. He attended school in Lethbridge and after graduation he worked with COHO paving as office manager for many years. After, he secured the contract for the scale operations at the City of Lethbridge Landfill for approximately 10+ years. Throughout his life for 50+ years, Larry volunteered with Scouts Canada mentoring young boys to become the best they could be. Just recently Larry received the highest award possible from Scouts Canada. Larry was a gentle man, honest and a true to life person. He will be sadly missed by many people. We love you, my husband, a brother, and a friend.Friends may meet the family at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. A private family graveside will be held. Memorial Donations can be made to Lethbridge Humane Society- 2920 16 Ave N, Lethbridge, AB T1H 5E9.

    Larry was my assistant Scoutmastr for many years at 40 Lethbridge. We had many great times together with our boys. After I left for Saskatoon in 1985 he carried on to become a great Scouter. He will be sorely missed.
