DARRELL SMITH

It is with deep sadness that the family of Darrell Smith announce his sudden passing in Calgary, Alberta on August 12, 2018. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church (Brocket) at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 18, 2018, with Deacon Tom O’Toole officiating, followed by a two-day Wake (Saturday & Sunday) at Betty Smith’s residence in Brocket, commencing at 2:30 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 20, at Piikani Community Hall at 1:00 pm with Deacon Tom O’Toole officiating. The interment to take place at the Brocket Cemetery. Snodgrass Funeral Home assisting the Smith families with funeral arrangements, (403) 627-4864.

    I was sorry to hear of Darrell’s passing now many moons ago. Darrell as many of his family knows was a kind heart. He was a funny person and just enjoyed life when you hung out with him. His intentions on wanting all individuals treated with respect and kindness is nothing but heroic in my mind and I wish many more people in this world could be like him.

    My hope is that I will meet him one day on the other side . At this time we will have a coffee and laugh as we once did.

    Not forgotten but remembered…
