1928 – 2019
Mr. Hermannus Breukelman of Coaldale, beloved husband of Mrs. Mary Breukelman, passed away at the Coaldale Health Centre on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the age of 90 years. Mance was born August 1, 1928 in Hardenberg, Holland as one of 12 children. He immigrated to Canada in 1955; after he moved to Canada, Mance worked at the Lethbridge Research Station till his retirement in 1988. Dad loved being outdoors in the mountains, going for rides in the country, birdwatching, model trains, and watching Jeopardy. Besides his loving wife Marijtje “Mary” Breukelman, Mance is survived by his 8 children, Arlene, Beverly, Harley, Sandra, Alan, John, Christine, and Michael; 2 grandchildren Lydia (Kris) and Megan (Zain) and 2 great-grandchildren Juliette and Hobson. He also had brothers and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Throughout his life, his comfort was knowing that he belonged to his Savior Jesus Christ. “Praise the Lord O my soul and forget not all his benefits” Psalm 103:2 Many thanks to the wonderful caring staff at the Coaldale Health Centre who treated Dad with so much dignity and compassion. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, May 13, 2019 at THE CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 2705-21 AVENUE (formerly: HIGHWAY 3 WEST), BOX 1254, Coaldale, Alberta, Reverend J. Huijgen, officiating. A private Family Interment will be held prior. Flowers are gratefully declined.
