NESBIT, Dunelda
Posted: October 31st, 2019NESBIT
It is with the saddest of hearts that we announce the passing of our Mom, DUNELDA NESBIT, beloved wife of the late Bill Nesbit, on October 28, 2019 at Legacy Lodge in Lethbridge, AB at the age of 89 years.
She is lovingly remembered by us children, Karen Langille, Jim (Mary) Nesbit, Dallas (Char) Nesbit, all of Lethbridge and Reenie (Tim Lane) Nesbit of Morinville, AB, as well as seven grandchildren, ten great- grandchildren, one great-great- grandson and many cousins.
Mom was born to Austin and Margaret Main on April 6, 1930 in Belmont, MB, the only sibling to her brother, Melvin. She received her education in Belmont then continued her education at business college in Brandon, MB.
In 1948, while attending a dance in Ninette, MB, she met the love of her life and our dad, Bill Nesbit. They were married in December of 1949 and eventually had and raised us four children.
Our family moved to Lethbridge in 1967 and in 1968, mom started working at Automatic Electric until 1979 when her and dad returned to Manitoba to look after her parents. They eventually moved back to Lethbridge in the summer of 1983.
Mom was a very active lady whether she was involved with an organization or just volunteering for one. Knitting, baking, camping and curling, to name a few, were her favourite past times however nothing beat the time and love she spent with our family.
After dad’s passing, her life started to slow down but not her sense of humour. She moved to Legacy Lodge in January 2013 where she met and made some very special friends. She kept everyone entertained and on their toes until her passing.
She was a true force to be reckoned with and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
A Visitation will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB on Friday, November 8, 2019 from 7:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.
A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Glenda Wert officiating. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
