SEILLER

ELIZABETH SEILLER of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Julius Seiller, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, April 17, 2020 at the age of 88 years.

She is lovingly remembered by her sons, George (Lana), James (Charlie) and John; grandchildren, Marc (Rebecca), Christopher (Cheryl), Austin (Kaylum), Andrew and Julia; and great-grandchildren, Matea, Zachary, Brie, Isabella, Easton and Avery.

Besides her husband Julius, she was predeceased by her parents, John and Elizabeth Hanzel and brothers, Julius and John.

Betty was born on October 26, 1931 in Vackisujfalu, Hungary. She immigrated to Canada in 1938 with her mother and two brothers where they joined their father who had previously immigrated to Lethbridge. Betty met Julius on a blind date and they were married on July 18, 1956. They raised three sons and celebrated 60 years of marriage before his passing in December 2016.

Betty enjoyed gardening, cooking Hungarian meals and spending time with family and friends. She loved to travel, visiting Hungary, New York and Toronto and would often reminisce about her vacations. Betty was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, Maple Leafs and Johnny Horton music. She had strong family values and was a devoted daughter, wife, mom and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all.

Her family would like to thank Dr. Cahill, Dr. Coma and staff of the Chinook Regional Hospital for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation: #200, 119 – 14 St. NW, Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6.
