Miss Agna Neza Bergant, of Milk River, passed away peacefully with friends at her side, on July 7, 2021, and the age of 97 & 1/2 years.
Agna came to Canada from Slovenia (Ljublana) as a young woman and graduated from Winnipeg General Hospital in 1962. Agna was very proud of her nursing career, which included public health in Ontario, northern Manitoba, Cardston, and Milk River.
Agna was the sixth of 11 children, and family was very important to her, but her active faith was most precious to her. Her faithfulness to the Lord was evident.
A Prayer Service will be held at ST. PETER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 321 Main Street N.W., Milk River, AB, on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. with Father Salvador Ahumada officiating.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. PETER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Salvador Ahumada celebrating.
Following the Mass, Agna will be laid to rest in the Milk River Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Agna, donations for Masses may be made to St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church (PO Box 36, Milk River, AB, T0K 1M0).
