1944 – 2022
It is with great sadness that the family of Mrs. Donna Joy Ott of Coalhurst, Alberta, announce her peaceful passing on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at the age of 77 years.
Donna was born May 15, 1944, in Lethbridge, Alberta, in the Galt Hospital. She grew up in west Lethbridge and attended school in Coalhurst, Coaldale, Brant, and Lethrbidge (LCI). Donna was a teacher in Southern Alberta area as well as worked at Woolworths, Lethbridge public library and in the hospitality industry before retiring in 2002. She enjoyed traveling to her favorite place, Great Falls, as well as many trips to Reno and other destinations. She also enjoyed camping, fishing with her “Dora the Explorer” Rod. Her recipe group friends meant a lot to her and she loved visiting and making new friends. She loved to read books and graduated to her “kindle”. She was always cheerful, kind, and loving.
Donna will be lovingly remembered by her husband Lloyd Ott; daughters Carla Navratil, Mary Jeurissen (Antoon); son Rodney Navratil; grandchildren Jessica Navratil, Kelsi Navratil; sister Sandra Morgan (Ron-deceased), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Donna was predeceased by her parents Isobel Todd (Greg) and Father Harvey Watmough.
