OSHIRO

It is with deepened sadness that we are saying goodbye to our dear loved one, TATSUKO (TATS) OSHIRO of Lethbridge, Alberta passed away on Saturday February 12th at the age of 93. Tatsuko was born March 14, 1928 to Hidekichi and Kuni Ikeda in the small papermill town of Ocean Falls B.C. She moved to Ruskin B.C and then was relocated to Picture Butte Alberta and later called Lethbridge her home. She worked at Scott National for many years.

Tatsuko loved to dance and listen to Aki play his trumpet and sing. He loved Frank Sinatra and his music reflected this.

During her life time she had many close friends and luncheoned with them often and when these friends passed she carried on this tradition with their daughters.

She is predeceased by her husband Aki Oshiro, her sister Ritz Misumi, brother in laws Bae Misumi and Floyd Gillies, She is survived by her sisters Toki ( Kiyo) Nishijima and Yoko Gillies as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

At Tatsuko’s request there will be no funeral service.

In lieu of flowers and Koden in memory of Tatsuko donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank Salmon and Sons funeral home located at 433 Stubb Ross Road South for their services and the staff at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital for their care during her stay there.
