Dennis Easton McTaggart, beloved husband of Theresa McTaggart of Milk River, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at the Milk River Health Centre, with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at the age of 69 years.
Besides his loving wife Theresa, he is also mourned by his three children: Layne (Cary-Anne) McTaggart, Lindsey (Joel) Hougen, and Lee (Kristi) McTaggart. Dennis treasured and adored his five grandchildren: Jordan and Eddie (Layne), Carter (Lindsey) and Aubree and McKenna (Lee).
Dennis is also survived by his siblings: Gloria (Chuck) Whipple, Ted (Mary) McTaggart, Tim (Bev) McTaggart and Peggy (Myron) Demkiw and their families, as well as Theresa’s siblings and families.
A lover of many sports, Dennis always followed and supported his children through their many sporting activities and continued this tradition by watching his two oldest grandsons Jordan and Carter as they participated in their sports. We are certain he will continue being all his grandchildren’s #1 fan from above.
Throughout the years, Dennis developed many life-long cherished friendships. We sincerely thank all these special friends and family members who supported Dennis throughout his life.
Words can never express how grateful we are for the medical team that supported and cared for Dennis from the day of his diagnoses until his passing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Ed and Margaret McTaggart and his in-laws Herb and Clara Garber.
Honouring Dennis’s wishes there will not be a formal funeral service, we will gather on June 12 at Gold Springs Campground for a casual come and go BBQ to share stories and memories of Dennis with his family and friends. Please RSVP to dennismctaggartrsvp@outlook.com if you would like to attend.
Flowers are gratefully declined. If you so wish, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice in Dennis’s name.
