1927 – 2022
James Able beloved husband of the late Audrey Able, passed away peacefully at Cedar Creek Adaptacare on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at the age of 95 years.
Jim will be missed by his daughter Lynne (Bill) Anderson and son Dave (Lani) Able, 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Jim was born in County Durham, Seaham Harbour, England. He was a veteran of WWII with the British Navy travelling the world on an Air Craft Carrier starting at the age of 18. He met his future wife Audrey while in the Navy, and they were married in 1950 and immigrated to Canada in 1956. Over the years he lived and worked in Peterborough, Calgary, Burlington and finally settling for life in Lethbridge in 1970.
He is predeceased by his parents and 8 siblings.
As per Jim’s request, a private Service will be held to Celebrate Jim’s Life on Saturday, October 1, 2022.
