Taz Urano

1943 – 2022

Tazanobu Urano, beloved husband of Faye Urano, passed away in Taber on Monday, September 12, 2022 at the age of 78 years.

The Funeral Service will held at Knox United Church, 4929 – 50 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 11:00 A.M.

The burial service will be held at the Barnwell Cemetery, Cemetery Road at 12 Avenue West, Barnwell on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 1:30 P.M. Condolences may be forwarded by visiting our website at www.southlandfuneral.com.

Besides his loving wife Faye, he is survived by their children Cyndi (Trent) Bolokoski of Barnwell, Julie (Jim) Stone of Taber and Richard (Sarah) Urano of Shell Lake, Saskatchewan; grandchildren Jonathan Bolokoski, David Bolokoski (Kiara Thompson), Tyler Bolokoski, Sarah Stone, Sam Urano, Isaac Urano and Toby Urano. He is also survived by his siblings Jean (Thomas) Menard, Martha (Herm) Ipema, Margaret (Al) Yule, Tom Urano, Kiyo (Jim) Wright, Yut (Pat) Urano, Hink (Sachie) Urano and by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Kikue and Tsurukichi Urano, sister Sakae Ingham and brothers Minoru, Osamu and Kaneo.

Taz was born in Coaldale on November 30, 1943. In 1953 his family moved to Barnwell where he would spend the remainder of his life. He married Faye Stewart on November 23, 1968.

Taz loved farming. It was his passion. He was involved with the Elks and the Royal Canadian Legion and enjoyed curling, fishing, dancing, family gatherings and playing cards.

Taz was a kind hearted, honest, hard working individual who always had time to help others.
