1927 – 2022
Magdalena Tamtom, beloved wife of the late John Tamtom, passed away in Taber on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the age of 95 years.
The Funeral Service will be held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 – 48 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden. Condolences may be forwarded by visiting our website at www.southlandfuneral.com.
Maggie is survived by her children Maggie (Jim) Lorence of Taber, Steve Tamtom of Taber and George Tamtom of Medicine Hat; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brother-in-law Joe (Helga) Tumpek.
She was predeceased by her husband John Tamtom; brother John Tumpek and sister-in-law Mary Tumpek.
Maggie was born in Paks, Hungary on January 28, 1927 to John and Magdalena Tumpek. She immigrated to Canada in 1949 where she met John Tamtom and they were married on November 20, 1950. Maggie was a hardworking farmers wife, she always had a big garden. She loved to cook and can, but was happiest when she had her whole family around her. We many great memories of us all sitting around a table full of food for the holidays, using her good china and crystal glasses.
