PLUMTREE
We are sad to announce the passing of ROBERT PLUMTREE March 9, 1935 to December 8, 2022.
Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Herta  Plumtree and his three sons Peter Plumtree (Helen), John Plumtree (Maria),  Walter Plumtree (Margaret). Robert has 5 grandchildren (Kayla, Ashley, Jessica, Megan, Nicolas) and 2 great grandchildren (Dallas and Kaleb) and his kitty cat that he rescued, Lucky.
Robert was born in Matheson, Ontario to Walter and Mary Plumtree and was the youngest of four children his siblings were Jerry, Jim, Janet. Robert joined the Canadian Airforce as a mechanic in his youth and worked for 30 years. While in the military, he was able to visit many countries such as East and West Germany, Italy, Holland, Spain, England and many others. When Robert retired from the military, he joined the City of North Bay public works department. Robert moved to Lethbridge, Alberta in 1994 to be closer to his sons and grand children and recently moved Brooks, Alberta.
Robert was an avid motorcyclist and even taught many students through the Canadore College Motorcycle Training Course for years. Robert drove to both Canadian coasts on his motorcycle and down to Nashville as well as many other trips. When he was not driving his bike, you could also find  him fishing and camping or chopping wood for the winter fireplace.
