Posted: August 9th, 2023 LOUIENE MAREE (BROWN/PAHL) WRIGHT Feb 1, 1943 – Aug 4, 2023 Louiene Maree (Brown/Pahl) Wright, beloved wife of William A Wright of Lethbridge, passed away at St Michael’s palliative care on August 4, 2023, at an age of 80 years.
She is also the loving mother of Logan Pahl, of Lethbridge, Renee Krizsan of Calgary, Greg Pahl of Fort Macleod, Aimee Wagner of Calgary, Bill Jr. Wright (Stacy) of Lethbridge, Tim Wright (Jolynne) of Barnwell, 20 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings Arliss (Ben) Gross, Bonnie (Harlan) Borrgard, Harold (Peggy) Brown, Trudy (Steve) Racz, and Sandra (Fred) Werewka. She was predeceased by her parents; Verna and Clarence Brown, her sister; Sara Lu, her in-laws; William and Melba Wright, her brother in laws Bruce and Ronald Wright.
Louiene was born in Lethbridge at the Galt Hospital on Feb 1943. She grew up on a family farm close to Purple Springs and attended school at Grassy Lake. She was involved in many sports, basketball, badminton, softball. She graduated as valedictorian from HS in 1961 and left having made many beautiful friends. She married Wilfred Pahl of Conquerville, in 1962. They moved to Red Deer and had Logan in 1963, and then Renee in 1966. The family then moved to Lethbridge where Greg in 1968, and Aimee in 1971 were born. They divorced in 1972.
Louiene met William A Wright of Vauxhall in 1973 and married in December of that year. The family moved to a farm east of Taber. Bill Jr arrived in 1975, and Timothy in 1976. Family has always been a main point of Louiene’s focus.
She has been highly involved in the LDS church for all of her life. She and Bill attended a mission in Mexico City from Feb 2009-Aug 2010, where they both learned to speak Spanish and made many meaningful friendships. She loved music, playing the piano, singing, writing songs, she was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing, cooking, researching geneology, catching up with friends and family, daily journaling and watching sports of Grandchildren or on TV.
Friends may meet with the family at Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home – 703 – 13 St N Lethbridge, on Friday Aug 11, 2023, from 6-8:00 p.m.
Services will be held at The Church of Latter-day Saints – 4105 Forestry Ave South Lethbridge, AB, on Aug 12, with a friends meet family from 10-10:45 a.m. and funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Brad Lowe officiating. A light reception will follow. Interment will take place at Taber Memorial Gardens, 50th St Taber.

Louiene was one of the finest ladies I have ever known. She will be missed by many. My sincere condolences to Bill and each of her children and grandchildren. How she loved you all!
