Posted: September 2nd, 2023 OSLANSKI MARGARET CECILIA OSLANSKI, of Milk River, beloved wife of the late Charles Oslanski, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side, on Monday, August 28, 2023 at the age of 95 years.
Margaret is the loving mother of three daughters: Elizabeth Stroeve of Picture Butte, Rosemarie Oslanski-Mankow (Gord Kopp) of Milk River and Kathleen (Lester) Jochem of Taber; 13 grandchildren: Theresa (Dino) Pasquotti and their family, Dario, Matteo and Nico (Megan); Shirley (Ed) Stronks and their family, Carson (Mick), Denver (Elaina) and Laney (Avery); Dolores (Cam) Wright and their family Amber and Jamey (Courtney); Andrea Stroeve-Sawa (Trevor Sawa) and their family Treven, Taylor and Tanae; Lisa (Robert) Still and their family Jaelynn (Tanner) Hansen and Alyssa Perry; David (Kelly) Mankow and their family Megan and Ryan; Darlene (Doug) Snow; Tania (Jake) Wall and their family Ocean, Triveni, Vienna and Briggs; Natasha (Jason) Webber; Pauline Mankow; Jonathan Mankow; Joanne (Martin) Sorensen and their family Stephanie (Pete) Stayanovich and Samantha Sorensen (Cam Mack); Carol (Jason) Astalos and their family Justin Astalos (Julia Anton) and Chayla Astalos (Clay Leismeister).
She is also survived by eight great-great-grandchildren: Echo, Octavia, Eddie, Dillon, Korben, Hadley, Brody and Cole; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and family friend Serge Mankow.
Besides her loving husband, Margaret was predeceased by her parents Steve Jr. and Margaret Binges; son-in-law Herman Stroeve; and grandson Eddy Stroeve.
Margaret Cecilia Oslanski was born June 4, 1928, the only child of Steve Jr. and Margaret Binges. Margaret lived on the family farm in 2-17. She rode horseback to school and attended the John Joe School. Charles Oslanski courted Margaret via horsebanck, they were married on February 25, 1946 and then moved to 1-17 Oslanski farm. She worked side by side with Charlie on the farm raising livestock and grain. Her pride and joy were her parklike flower garden and yard, which she spent many hours attending. Her home was always open to all family members for a meal or a homemade treat. Many grandchildren spent countless hours visiting with her.
She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
A Prayer Service will be held at ST. PETER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 321 Main Street Milk River, AB on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. with Father Andrew Pyon officiating.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. PETER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Andrew Pyon celebrating. Interment to follow in the Milk River Cemetery.
