HOLMBERG, Elwyn

HOLMBERG Elwyn Holmberg, beloved husband to the late Elizabeth Holmberg, passed away unexpectedly on July 6, 2022. He was predeceased by his father, Nobel, his mother, Agnes, brother, Eldred, and three sisters, Myrna, Ferne, and Carol. He’s survived by his sisters, Pearl and Iris, and brothers Dwight and Merrill.
Elwyn was born Clifford Elwyn Theodore Holmberg on March 16, 1944, to Noble Oscar Holmberg & Agnes Lillian Victoria Fredlund in the late evening in Minnedosa, Manitoba. He leaves behind 2 children, 3 step – children, 2 special daughters of the heart, 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Elwyn met his beloved wife Elizabeth Duffy (Collin) in 1989 and they were married in 1993. He spent the rest of his years in Southern Alberta retiring with Elizabeth to Diamond City.
Elwyn was a man of many talents, from being able to predict the weather, to making his own bullets to use for hunting. Elwyn held dearly to spending time with his grandchildren, going to home depo to build projects with them alongside Elizabeth or taking them to do activities around Lethbridge.
Elwyn, you will always be a part of us, in our hearts and in our prayers. We will miss you and fondly remember all the good memories in every moment of our lives.
The placing of his ashes will commence on October 7 at 2pm at Mountainview Cemetery at the columbaria to the right of the office.
