In Loving Memory
ANTONIETTA MARIA ROSE
November 16, 1941
– September 30, 2023
It is with broken hearts and tear-filled eyes that we, the family of ANTONIETTA MARIA ROSE (née Suriano) of Lethbridge, AB, announce her peaceful passing at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the age of 81 years.
Mamma will be deeply missed by her son Tony (Camille) Rose; granddaughters: Claire and Antonia Rose as well as her daughter Francesca (Brent) Morris; grandson Zachary; and granddaughter Alexa Morris.  Mamma was the eldest of five siblings.  She is survived by her brothers, sister, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Andy (Julie) Suriano, Frank (Maureen) Suriano, John (Irene) Suriano, Paolina Seitz (Garth Renyk), and numerous nephews and nieces.
Mamma was predeceased by her beloved husband, Fernando Rose on February 14, 2020; her parents, Rocco, and Gilda Suriano, as well as father and mother-in-law Antonio and Francesca Rose; her brothers and sisters-in-law:  Pasquale (Luisa) Rose, Silvio Rose, Raffaele (Maria) Rose, Rubens (Nerina) Rose, Amerigo (Maria) Rose and Anibale Rose; and brother-in-law Murray Seitz.
Mamma was born on November 16, 1941, Amantea in the province of Cosenza, Italy.  She, along with her family, immigrated to Canada in 1961, where extended family members lead them to Lethbridge, AB.  She met the love of her life, Fernando, in Lethbridge and stayed here until her passing.  Her warm and creative spirit touched the lives of many.
Mamma was a skilled and passionate seamstress. Trained in Italy, she had an eye for detail and innate ability to transform fabrics into works of art that showcased her talent and dedication to her craft.
Mamma also had a flair for knitting and crochet, and lovingly crafted blankets, hats, scarves, and various other items to be shared with family and friends. Her handmade creations were not only beautiful but also carried the warmth of her heart. She has left her family and friends with so many memories of her treasured gifts.
A true culinary artist, she found joy in the kitchen. Her love for cooking and baking was evident in the delicious meals and treats she created.  Mamma loved a full home, surrounded by family and friends, sharing her love and passion through food.  One would never leave her home empty handed or hungry.
Family and friends meant everything to Mamma. She was a loving mother (mamma), doting grandmother (Nonna), a wonderful sister, and friend.
She will be remembered as such a vibrant, fun-loving, and giving person. Her legacy lives on through the memories shared and the love she instilled in those whose lives she touched. As a family, we will be forever grateful to her for the love and care she gave to us.
On behalf of our family, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and deep appreciation for the exceptional care, compassion, and support provided to our beloved Mamma during her battle with cancer. The tireless efforts of the Jack Ady Cancer Centre team, Palliative Care team, and the Home Care team have gone above and beyond our expectations. We offer our heartfelt thanks to our family and friends for all the prayers, phone calls, visits, and food. We also thank the caring and compassionate staff at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
