Lydia was born on November 23, 1936 to Floyd and Frances Badura. Theirs was a large family with twelve children, and Lydia worked alongside her mother to grow and raise most of the food for the family. When she married Henry on February 12, 1958, she was well prepared to carry on being a great homemaker, and her family enjoyed all of the garden fresh, frozen, canned and pickled fruits and vegetables, along with chickens and cows that were raised. The pantry was always full. Her family especially looked forward to all of her baking, the secret ingredient was that it was made with love. Lydia enjoyed many different crafts, sewing, puzzles and the simple pleasures of life.
The family would like to thank the staff of Clearview Lodge and the Taber Health Centre for their care for Lydia.
