Angie was born in the village of Chropov, Czechoslovakia on March 17, 1923. She was one of six children born to Mary and Jozeph Hornak.

She loved people. She was a social butterfly and loved sharing stories and memories with her many friends over coffee and kolache or poppyseed loaf (her specialties). She enjoyed singing, tending her garden, and crocheting.
A devoted Jehovah’s Witness, she spent many hours sharing her love of the Bible with people she met.
