We are respecting Mel’s wishes to not have a funeral or celebration of life he was centered around his love for his grandkids and so lucky he was with them in the final months.

I became good friends with Mel and Dorothy 13 years ago when I moved across the street from them. Not only good friends but great people. I miss the hockey games we went to, but especially miss our weekly meetings with Pete and Mel. He is gone too early, and I deeply miss my friend. Rest in peace my friend.
Dorothy, My thoughts and prayers have continued since the devastating news arrived here. When you are up to talking send a text and I will give you call. Know that you are in my thoughts often.
Mel made such a difference in my life..he will never be replaced. Such a fun and intelligent person is hard to come by. I am proud to say he was my friend. Our Phoenix neighborhood just isn’t the same. Our weekly “church” brought joy to a few of us and our memory of him will last forever. I love you man!!!!
