Posted: June 11th, 2024 SHARON ANN PIERCE 1957 – 2024 Mrs. Sharon Pierce of Lethbridge passed away peacefully at Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, June 7th, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on May 11, 1957, in Brooks, Alberta, Sharon’s life was marked by adventure, dedication, and profound connections.
A few years after high school, Sharon embarked on a journey that would shape her existence living in Spain for 6 months. Her youthful vigor led her to traverse landscapes both familiar and foreign, instilling in her a deep appreciation for the diversity and beauty of the world around her. During her formative years, Sharon embraced the value of hard work, finding employment at both a local café and an autobody shop. These experiences not only honed her skills but also instilled in her a sense of resilience and determination that would serve her well throughout her life.
It was in Brooks where Sharon’s path intertwined with that of Robert Pierce where they eventually exchanged vows in 1983, laying the foundation for a life filled with joy and laughter. Together, they welcomed two children, Taylor and Kendra, into their lives, nurturing them with affection and support.
Later, Sharon settled in Lethbridge where she embraced a career in industrial parts sales. In the early 2000s, Sharon’s journey took an unexpected turn as she found a second chance at love with Bob Dobni. Together, they embarked on a new chapter filled with adventure, laughter, and shared passions. Over the course of 11 beautiful years, Sharon and Bob reveled in the simple pleasures of life, cultivating their love amidst the tranquil landscapes of Alberta and Saskatchewan. Their shared love for the outdoors, gardening, sewing, cooking, and golfing served as the foundation for a special bond.
Sharon leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, cherished memories, and countless lives touched by her loving warmth. She will be deeply missed by her loving children, Taylor and Kendra, and a multitude of family members, friends, and colleagues whose lives were forever enriched by her presence.
Sharon is survived by her children Taylor (Leah) Pierce, Kendra (Philip Smith) Pierce; brother Rick (Lucie) Shannon; grandsons Vincent and Robert Pierce as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon is predeceased by her parents Jack and Maida Shannon and her brother Jim (Pat) Shannon.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation in honor of Sharon’s enduring legacy of compassion and kindness.
A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at a later date where friends and loved ones will gather to honor her memory and bid her a fond farewell.
