KESLER, Norman

KESLER WALLACE NORMAN KESLER beloved husband of the late Karen Kesler passed away peacefully on July 3, 2024 in Raymond AB. Norman was born March 19, 1944 in Magrath, AB to Leonard and Ruth Kesler. Norman is pre-deceased by his wife Karen Kesler, parents Leonard and Ruth Kesler and his Sister Elenor Conrad. Norman was raised on the family farm near New Dayton. In 1962 he joined the Navy and spent the next 20 plus years serving our country and traveling the world. In 1965 he married Karen (Bourne) Kesler of Lethbridge. They had 3 children: Debi, Michael and Kevin. After Norman retired the Navy the family was moved to Raymond and Norman took a job as a Corrections Officer and served in that capacity for 20 more years. Norman also served for well over 20 years on the Raymond Fire Department. Norman was an avid hunter and fisherman, getting out every chance he got. Norman could also be found either curling or watching curling. He is survived by his children and grandchildren Debi (Kesler) Kanyo (Bob, Ilona, Derek), Michael Kesler (Amber, Deekota (Anna-Jo), Breann, Kobin, Ashlynn, Layne (Rebekah, Willow and Quintin) and Kevin Kesler (Patti, Teagan, Macy). He is also survived by his brother Gordon (Joyce) Kesler, sister Trudie Fyfe, sister in-law Karen Bourne and brother in-law Stewart McLeod. Viewing will be Monday July 8, 2024 from 7-8PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Knight Street Chapel (260E 200N) Raymond, AB. The funeral service will be held Tuesday July 9, 2024 at 1PM at the same location with internment to follow at the Raymond Temple Hill Cemetery.
