Carol was born December 10, 1944, in Germany to Bob and Mary Krakowski. She  immigrated with her family to Canada in 1954, settling in the Taber area. Carol and Elmer were married on April 27, 1968 and made their home on a farm east of Taber. Together, they operated the family farm until 1986. They then moved into town and worked as custodians at the Taber Legion for approximately ten years. Carol and Elmer loved socializing, dancing and having company over, a tradition that continued into Carol’s later years as she often went out for coffee with her various circles of friends.
Carol and Elmer loved to travel to Las Vegas and took numerous trips when they were able.  She was devoted to her faith in the Catholic Church and was very proud of her long term involvement with the Catholic Women’s League (CWL).  Carol always had a smile on her face and would start a conversation with anyone. She enjoyed visiting with people and when able, volunteering in the community.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Carol’s name may be made directly to the Taber and District Health Foundation, 4326 – 50 Avenue, Taber, Alberta T1G 1N9 (www.tdhf.ca).
