WEBBER, Shawn
Posted: August 17th, 2024 WEBBER, Shawn Matthew Shawn Matthew Webber – age 34, passed away on August 7, 2024 where he joined his best friend Adam, Thistle and his Grandma Marty and Grandpa Terry to cause a ruckus in the afterlife.
He was born on August 29, 1989 in Blairmore, AB. Even as a young child, Shawn was very independent, always adventuring in the mountains. Throughout his life Shawn cared deeply for the people around him, however, animals were his kindred spirits. Whether it be horses or dogs or various other animals, Shawn loved them and always made it a priority to make sure they were well taken care of. He loved riding, showing and training horses. He excelled in 4H and enjoyed doing anything that could be done outside including snowboarding, longboarding, water sports or long backpacking trips with his best friends. Shawn often volunteered his time to people in need of care and grew up helping people with disabilities. He was often found walking and sharing in conversations or playing crib. He was well-rounded in many ways and could relate to friends of all ages. Shawn was very proud to be a co-owner in Artisan Stainworks with his closest friend Kyle Hoffmeier whose daughter Evee thought of him as an uncle. Shawn easily accomplished anything he set his mind to and did so with a great sense of humour. Often being a voice of reason and reminding those around him that petty day to day troubles were inconsequential.
Shawn is survived by his Nana (Jimmy Webber), Grandfather (Bill Kliensasser), Great Uncle (Marvin Lehto), his parents Lolita and Bruce Webber, his cousin Karine Janvier and daughter Acelyn Larocque who called him uncle Shawn, his uncle Doug Webber (Denise) Cassidy, and Adam. His uncle Derek Friesen (Petra), Stephanie (Philipp) Koller, and Colton. His uncle Allen Webber (Patricia Grattan) Ashley and Heidi. His uncle Todd (Carolina) Kliensasser, Jessica Skjonsberg (Justin) Roslin and Ada, Jose Carlos, Angel and William. His Aunt Claire (Philip) Wilson and Sara and his nephew Jason Shier with whom he loved playing Magic. Shawn was woefully, and despondently outlived by his closest friends Kyle Hoffmeier, Steve Visser, Tabetha Burke, and many other life forms. But as he always said, “not all who wander are lost.” He will never be lost and will forever be missed.
In lieu of flowers Shawn would prefer donations made to animal shelters or helping out anyone in need.
A Celebration of life will be announced at a later date and will be held in the Crowsnest Pass.
