ELLIOT, Lorraine
Posted: September 24th, 2024 LORRAINE ELLIOTT 1930 – 2024 Mrs. Lorraine Dorothy Elliott, of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Ronald Elliott, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024, at the age of 94 years.
Lorraine was born in Lethbridge at the Galt Hospital on January 15, 1930, and was educated and grew up in Lethbridge. She was employed at the Royal Bank of Canada for 33 years, retiring in 1990. Lorraine enjoyed camping and fishing with Ronald, travelling with her mother and friends, and spending time with her family and her special friends Esther, Billie, Rusty and Bernie. She enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends in her home, where everyone was welcomed and loved whether you were family, a friend, or a friend of a friend. Lorraine was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, and the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization. She was very interested in talking about military service and Canada’s history at home during these times as her late husband was an army veteran of the Korean War, and her late brother was a naval veteran of World War II.
Lorraine is survived by her stepdaughter Susan (Donald) Perks, and their children Ian and Jean and their families; stepson Michael (Lynne) Elliott and their children Amanda, Deanne and Shayne and their families; and adopted family Jeff and Monica Cove, and their daughters Tarrah and Tegan and their families. Lorraine was dearly loved and cared for, and she will be missed by all.
Besides her husband Ronald, Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, Roy and Edith Rutledge; her brother, Robert Rutledge; her parents-in-law, Clarence and Isabella Elliott, and sisters-in-law, Jean Elliott and Agnes Wilkie.
Thank you to the caring staff of Extendicare Fairmont Park who cared for Lorraine over the last two years.
