JOEL POWELL 1983 ~ 2025 Mr. Joel Leroy Powell of Lethbridge, beloved son to Rod and Deanna Powell, passed away in his home on Monday, June 2, 2025, at the age of 41 years.
Joel was born on September 2, 1981, in Brandon, Manitoba, to Rod Powell and Rox-Ann Watts. After completing high school, Joel chose a career in the trades and became an electrician, spending his entire career with 1st Technicall in Lethbridge.
Joel took pride in purchasing and renovating several homes. He had a deep love for the outdoors, especially camping in the mountains with friends and exploring trails on rides with his dad and stepmom. Joel was generous with his time, always willing to lend a hand to family and friends. If you knew Joel, you liked him. If you were fortunate enough to be family, you loved him.
Besides parents, Joel is survived by his extended blended family. He will be missed by his stepsister Sophia Gerk; best friend Neil Schofield; his work family at 1st Technicall; grandma Patricia Santa; grandpa Bill (Mary) Lukacs; uncles Donovan Santa, Roland Powell, Gord Powell and Greg Powell; as well as numerous cousins
He was predeceased by his mother Rox-Ann Watts; brother Andrew Powell; grandpa Don Santa; and Nana Jean Watts.
Joel will be remembered privately by his family and his friends.
