CARL VASAS 1938 ~ 2025 It is with the deepest sadness we share the passing of Carl Vasas, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Carl passed away peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2025, at the age of 86 surrounded by loving family.
Carl was born September 25, 1938, in Tiszanagyfalu, Hungary and immigrated to Canada with his family arriving in Lethbridge on December 24, 1948.
Besides his loving wife Ida of 63 years, Carl is survived by his sister Ava in Tiszanagyfalu, Hungary. His children Brenda Vasas, Rodney (Sonya) Vasas & David Vasas. Grandchildren Brandie (Jason) Hannen- Williams, Gabrielle (Joel) Houweling, Kyle Vasas, Hannah (Peter) Bos, Bailey (Curtis) Tams & John Vasas. Great grandchildren Lucian & Finn Hannen-Williams, Naomi, Landon, Seth & Caleb Houweling, Everly & Burke Bos and two more on the way.
Carl was predeceased by his sisters Eva of Lethbridge, Elizabeth of Tiszanagyfalu, Hungary and his great granddaughter Edie of Vancouver, BC.
A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00pm on Friday, August 1. 2025 at MARTIN BROTHERS FUNERAL CHAPELS, 610 – 4 ST. S, LETHBRIDGE, ALBERTA.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH. 2405 12 AVE S, LETHBRIDGE, ALBERTA.
