Kathy Marie Scout-Bastien Saatsitapiaaki – “Keeper of Children Woman” June 21, 1970 – February 4, 2026 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathy, of Piikani Nation, on February 4, 2026. Kathy leaves behind her loving husband, Wade Bastien; children, Joshua, Christine, and Shelby Scout-Bastien; and her beloved pets, Kitty, Bailey, Shepherd, and Papay.
A Wake Service will be held on February 13, 2026, at Eden’s Funeral Home, 2424 5 Ave, Fort Macleod, from 6:00 until 10:00 PM.
A Funeral Mass will be held on February 14, 2026, at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 2604 3 Ave, Fort Macleod, at 11:00 AM. Following the Funeral Mass, Kathy will be laid to rest on Piikani Nation.
