GERRIT OSBERG 1941 ~ 2026 Gary Osberg of Lethbridge, Alberta, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the age of 84 years. He was born on September 4, 1941, at Galt Hospital in Lethbridge.
Gary will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 40 years, Lavina Osberg. He is also survived by his children: Cindy Osberg, Leanne Osberg, Laurianne (Rick) Schell, Rhonda (Bryce) Nelson, Dwayne (Barb) Osberg, Perry (Shelley) Osberg, and Brian (Carol) Osberg. Gary is further survived by his sisters, Fay Abbott and Donna Erdman, along with many grandchildren, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was predeceased by his son Kevin, as well as seven brothers and sisters.
Gary dedicated 57 years of his life to his career as an electrician, taking great pride in his work and the people he worked alongside. Beyond his profession, he made a lasting impact in the community through his passion for sports. Gary was honoured as a member of the Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame for his outstanding contributions to coaching baseball, where he mentored and inspired countless young athletes.
He was also a committed community member who helped organize and was a major contributor to the Grandview Garden, leaving a legacy of service, generosity, and dedication.
Gary will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his devotion to family and community, and the positive influence he had on the lives of so many. He will be deeply missed and forever loved .
