KINGSTON, Sandra

Posted: March 21st, 2026

Sandra May Kingston (nee: Ripley) September 26, 1945 – March 18, 2026 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandi, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother, who passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, at the age of 80 years, with her family by her side.
She was born in Fort Macleod to Tom and Violet Ripley and was raised and educated there, remaining a lifelong resident of the community she loved.
In February of 1961, Sandi married the love of her life, Bob. Together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and devotion. They raised three children: Ron (Darla), Heather (Todd), and Cheryl. Sandi was a proud and loving grandmother to Lauren, Leanne, Jason, Peyton, Keegan, Torin, and Kiara, and a cherished great-grandmother to ten great-grandchildren.
No one loved or supported their children and grandchildren more than Sandi. Her family was truly her greatest joy.
In 1976, Sandi and Bob opened Economy Lumber, where they worked side by side until their retirement. Following retirement, they enjoyed many trips abroad and spent their winters in Arizona, creating treasured memories together.
Sandi was actively involved in many organizations throughout Fort Macleod over the years and will be fondly remembered by her many friends, as well as her family.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Fort Macleod Extendicare for their exceptional care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fort Macleod Extendicare.

One Condolence for “KINGSTON, Sandra”

  1. Rose (Zumik) Allen says:

My deepest condolences to Bob and the Kingston and Ripley families over the loss of dear Sandi. Sandi and I shared many good times in our teenage years growing up in Fort Macleod. She was indeed a special friend in those days. Life took us in different directions but we did connect in the Mesa area in the winter a few years back and it was great to reconnect after so many years. Sandi was a special lady and she will be missed. With my most heartfelt sympathy.
