BUSSE, Donna Marilyn (nee Weiss)

December 13, 1948 – November 3, 2012 It is with immeasurable sadness we announce the loss of our loving angel Donna, after a seven year struggle with cancer at the age of 63 years.

Donna was born in Medicine Hat, AB to the late Elmer and Helen Weiss. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Richard and was the most loving mom to her daughters, Marla (Rob) Bondy, and Danielle (Colin) Drescher. Donna was the ultimate grandma to Logan Bondy and Jade and Braeden Drescher. Our angel leaves behind sister, Pam (Ron) Bolokoski; nieces Tasha and Fiona with whom she was especially close; brothers, Jerry (Donna) Weiss of Medicine Hat and Bill (Mary) Weiss of Calgary. She is also survived by brother-in-law, Earl (Kathy) Busse of Medicine Hat; uncle, Don (Margot) Weiss of Medicine Hat; and aunt, Ella Starling of Red Deer as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Donna began her career as a hairstylist with Olive Foss at Woman’s World in Medicine Hat. After moving to Calgary, she worked at Maison Jakes Uptown, David of Paris West Brook and Wildwood Coiffures. Donna retired early to care for her grandchildren until they were ready for school. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren, decorating with her daughters, travelling with family and friends and summers at the family cottage. Donna enjoyed spoiling her family, going overboard on every possible occasion, especially at Christmas. We thank her for all of her love, support, kindness and generosity! Donna was always giving, never taking. We will love, miss and treasure her memory forever. The Family would like to thank the following for extending Donna’s life: Dr. H. Suresh and staff; Dr. P.
