Mrs. Darline Mattheis, beloved wife of Mr. Boyd Mattheis of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, December 5th, 2012 at the age of 77 years. Darline also leaves to cherish her memory two children, Lyndon Mattheis (Cindy Koperski) of Hilda and Karmen (Thomas “Tom”) Reyes of Airdrie; one grandson, Christopher; two brothers, Gordon (Doris) and Darrel (Lynda); one sister, Sheila (Frank) Minardi; two brothers-in-law, Gilbert Bye and Edward (Julie) Schulze; two sisters-in-law, Mary Litke and Elsie Krenzler; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Darline was predeceased by her parents, William and Esther Krenzler; and six siblings. Darline was born on September 2nd, 1935 in Calgary and was raised at Acme, Alberta. She received her education at Davis Country School and the high school in Lacombe. Darline met Boyd Mattheis and they were married on June 3rd, 1957 in Calgary settling on the farm in the Hilda District. They remained on the farm for 31 years before retiring to Medicine Hat in 1988. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Sunday from 1:00 to 1:55 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL on Sunday, December 9th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Dennis Braun officiating. A Private Interment will follow in the Family Plot at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery.
