Grant Bertram Blundell passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012 with his family by his side following a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 68 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Jean Blundell of Medicine Hat; one son, Clint (Amie) Blundell of Medicine Hat; one brother, Les (Bev) Blundell of Victoria, B.C.; sisters-in-law, Margaret Marieno, Helen Penner, Rosella Michalezki all of Medicine Hat, Shirley (Roy) Liden of Port Coquitlam, B.C. as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. He was predeceased by parents, Stella and David Blundell. Grant was born in Vermillion, Alberta on September 29, 1944, later moving to St. Walberg, Saskatchewan. At the age of 15 years, he moved with his family to Vancouver, B.C. where he attended Kitsilano High School. He then moved to Surrey, B.C. where he met his wife and they were married almost 44 years. Grant enjoyed his time camping with the Cavan Lake Gang, watching his sons softball and hockey games and listening to music with his friends. At Grants request there will be no service. A Come and Go Tea will be held at his sons home on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. (147 Terrace Drive NE). Those who wish to come and celebrate the times we shared with Grant are welcome to join us. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
