It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Anna Brown on Tuesday, January 29th, 2013 at the age of 89 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Anna leaves to cherish her memory her only son, Garry Brown; her daughter-in-law, Tammy Brown; two grandsons, Robert Brown (Shelby) and Colton Brown; as well as numerous family, friends and loved ones. Anna was born in the Swift Current, Saskatchewan area on February 11th, 1923. She had a passion for sewing, cooking and baking and one could always find treats at grandma’s house. Anna’s greatest passion was her family, especially her grandsons. She had a love of life, was devoted to God, and enjoyed going for walks, being with nature, and painting. She will be sadly missed as each day passes and will remain in our hearts and memories forever. A devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. The Funeral Service will be held in CHRIST THE KING ASSEMBLY, 1101 Queen Street SE, on Monday, February 4th, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Mark Borrows and Pastor Virgil Covel, co-officiating. A Private Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
