It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mrs. Bernice Redquest-MacDougall at the young age of 55 years, on Thursday, January 31, 2013, of Medicine Hat, formerly of Ingonish Beach, Nova Scotia. Beloved wife, mother, sister and friend. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Martin MacDougall, daughter, Gail (Monty) Jans; two grandchildren, Logen and Jayden; her sister, Valerie Redquest (Lorraine); three brothers, Ernie (Edna) Redquest, Byron (Jane) Redquest and Gregory Redquest; two neices, Blair and Michelle; three nephews, Michael, Craig and Ernie as well as many, many friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Jane Burton-MacDonald and John Michael (Mike) Redquest. Bernice had a heart of gold and was loved by many. Granny Bernice was a hardcore hockey gran and holds a special place in the hearts of her grandchildren. A private family service will be held. I remember when Bernice came to join us at Ingonish Beach Consolidated; I believe Grade 3. We were childhood friends for a number of years. I remember her sweetness. I was so sorry to hear of her passing. May God bless you and give you strength through difficult days. My deepest sympathy. ~Colette

Berncie, i so miss you, i miss our talks, your humor and so much more you where so awesome. I am starting to understand your love for your grandsons! My first grandchild was born 48 hrs ago and my daughter named him logan, so wish u are here for me to tell you that, i can hear you now! Gail and Martin your mom and your wife was so funny, a great friend, and when i needed someone to talk to she was there! You were so lucky to have her in your lives. I will never forget her.
