TERNES

Eugene Ternes, beloved husband of Anna of Maple Creek, Sask., passed away peacefully on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the age of 82 years.
Eugene leaves to cherish his memory two sons: Donald (Lorelei) Ternes of Redcliff, Alberta, Ronald (Annette) Ternes of Fox Valley, Sask.; five grandchildren Dawn Ternes, Daniel Ternes, Sahril Ternes, Kerry Ternes and Shannon Ternes; and also two great grandchildren Kiara and Zoe.
He was predeceased by his parents Daniel and Ottelia, brothers Rudy, Martin, John and two sisters Anna Mary and Rose.
Eugene was born on June 20, 1930. He grew up on the family farm located in Fox Valley. He married the love of his life, Anna Angerman, on Oct. 14, 1959. Together they took over the family farm and together continued to farm and ranch.
Eugene was active in the community. He was a member of the school board and also served as a councillor for the RM for many years. In 1986 they decided to semi-retire to Maple Creek.
Eugene loved farming and ranching, fishing, hunting and playing cards with family and friends. He was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew him and shared in his life.
The funeral service was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fox Valley, on Fri., Jan. 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Fr. E. Warnke O.M.I. officiating. Prayers were held Thurs., Jan. 17 at 7:30 p.m. Interment took place at the Fox Valley Cemetery. Urn bearers were Kerry Ternes and Daniel Ternes.
