KNIGHT, Stanley Richard Dick

March 2, 1934 – February 11, 2013 On February 11, 2013, Mr. Stanley Richard “Dick” Knight of Edmonton, formerly of Medicine Hat, passed away at the age of 78 years.

Dick is survived by his loving wife, Norma; three sons: Brian (Fran), Robert, and Guy (Jennifer); daughter, Lynn (Terry) Ligard; thirteen grandchildren; sister, Shirley Ann Ziebart; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Dick was predeceased by Gladys, his first wife of 50 years. Born, raised and retired in Medicine Hat, Dick recently moved to Edmonton. He proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 29 years. Throughout his life Dick enjoyed golfing, curling, hunting and fishing. He also served as Treasurer of the Medicine Hat Elks Club and President of the Medicine Hat Golf and Country Club. Cremation has taken place. A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of floral tributes, donations may be made in Dick’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, #200, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, Alberta T2E 9Z9.
