GERALD SEARS

1935 ~ 2013
Mr. Gerald Edward Sears, beloved husband of Mrs. Lynn Sears, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at the age of 77 years.  Gerald was exceptionally proud of his Military Service.  He was a very generous man and loved spending time with his family, including the family pets.  Gerald will be lovingly remembered in the hearts of his wife, Lynn; children, Colleen Sears (Vince), Karen Sears, Debbie (Gene) Wagman, Pam (Wayne  Ý ) Lornson, Kelly (Debbie) Thome, Kevin (Twila) Thome, Kim (Laurie) Thome as well as numerous grandchildren.  He will be missed by his brother, Rick (Mary) Sears and sister, Barbara (Chuck  Ý) Tear as well as numerous other extended family.  A Celebration of Gerald’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Barrett Scheske officiating.  Interment will follow in the Field of Honour at Hillside Cemetery.  In recognition of Gerald’s Military Service, the Officers and members of the Royal Canadian Legion will conduct a Poppy Service for their departed comrade.     (Condolences may be expressed by visiting www.cook southland.com)  If friends so desire, memorial tributes in memory of Gerald may be made directly to the Margery E.
