Mr. Harold Leroy Berger, beloved husband of Mrs. Agatha Aggie Berger of Medicine Hat, passed away on Saturday, March 16th, 2013 at the age of 79 years. Harold also leaves to cherish his memory five children: Harvey (Kathy) Berger and their children, Kristine and Brett Berger; Elaine (John) Orr and their children, John Alex (Angela) Orr and children, Hailey, Hannah and Nathan, Michael Orr (Cassie); Ron (Lane) Berger and their children, Derek (Shivonne) Berger, Landon Berger (Damara) and children, Tayah and Krystallin, David (Rachelle) Flemmer and children, Garet and Kavin; Cindy (Tom) Heringer and their children, Sarah Watts, Courtney, Samantha and Kylie Heringer; and Brent (Angela) Berger and their children, Payton and Ethan Berger; five brothers, Melvin (Bernice), Clifford (Marianne), Rubin (Helga), Jim (Sheila), and Glen (Margaret); one sister, Joyce (Clifford) Aysan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. Harold was predeceased by his parents, Leroy Keller, Lena and John Berger. Harold was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan on February 20th, 1934 where he was raised and educated. He married Agatha Fitterer in Medicine Hat on May 2nd, 1953. Harold was a hard worker all his life – farming in Saskatchewan and driving truck. He retired from farming in 1983. A self-made man, Harold was a jack-of-all-trades. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered by his family and friends. The Funeral Service will be held in SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Thursday, March 21st, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with Gary W. Goran officiating. A Private Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Harolds memory may be made to the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation, 124, 430 – 6th Avenue SE, Medicine Hat, AB, T1A 2S8.
