Arthur Art Rieger passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at the age of 89 years, beloved husband of Olga Rieger of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory his son, Les (Monika) and two grandchildren, Michael (Lisa) and Samantha. He was predeceased by his parents, Lydia and Mathaus Rieger, and all of his 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
Art was born in the Gros Ventre area and, after returning from WWII, he lived in Medicine Hat for the remainder of his life. Olga and Art were married in 1948. Art spent most of his working career as a machinist at IXL Brick & Tile, retiring in 1988. He enjoyed fishing and visiting family and friends.
Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:55 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. George Brandt officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
