Posted: April 29th, 2013Kosti Joe Beresowsky passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013, at the age of 78 years, beloved husband of Audrey Beresowsky of Bow Island. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Kelly Beresowsky, (finace? Jessie Bishop); one brother, Conrad Beresowsky; his sister, Liz Church all of Medicine Hat; nieces and nephews, Carrie (Gray) Thomson and David Beresowsky (Diana Hoover). He was predeceased by his mother Nadia in 2005 and his father Joseph in 1978; brother, Bill in 1997; sister, Violet Jurasek in 1977 and his sister-in-law, Kathy Beresowsky in 2013. Joe was born on March 15, 1935 in the Ukraine. He came to Canada with his parents and family as a young teenager. Joe worked at various agriculture jobs as well as in construction along with his brothers and the Fode Brothers. Later, his family moved to Bow Island where they settled on the family farm. Joe married Audrey Angle on December 8, 1967 in Medicine Hat. Together they took over the family farm retiring to Bow Island in the late 1990’s. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, curling, dancing and playing cards. The funeral service will be held in the St. Andrews United Church, Bow Island on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Sheila McLeod officiating. A private interment will follow in the Bow Island Cemetery.
