Mrs. Muriel Micki Baisley of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Mr. Larry Baisley, passed away on Wednesday, May 1st, 2013 at the age of 85 years. Micki leaves to cherish her memory her children, Michael (Linda) Baisley of Okotoks, Alberta and Janet Painter-Macleod (Gary) of Medicine Hat; seven grandchildren, Laurie (Fabian) Laforest and their children, Olivia, Mason and Cohen, Scott Baisley (Kalan Chapiel) and their son, Kash, David (Kari) Painter and their children, Jordan and Jailyn, Mark Painter (Celina Simpson) and their children, Owen and Conner, Rebecca (Bradley) McKelvey and their daughter, Brooklynne, Jehri (Carolyn) Macleod and their children, Nicole and Austin and Jamie (Misty) Macleod; one brother-in-law, Douglas (Laverne) Baisley and family of Calgary; and close friend, Tony Neigum. Micki was predeceased by her husband, Larry; her parents, Robert and Georgina Owen; one brother, Robert; and one sister, Kaye. Micki was born on February 26th, 1928 in Red Deer, Alberta. She met and married Larry Baisley on November 29th, 1947 in Calgary. Micki worked as a dental assistant in Calgary before moving to Medicine Hat in 1963, where Larry owned and operated Gardner Motors. She was involved with the Kinettes, Shrine Ladies and the Rotary Ann’s. Micki enjoyed bridge, golf, curling, needlepoint, travelling and time spent at the cottage at the lake. She was a long time member of St. Barnabas Anglican Church. Micki will be fondly remembered and forever missed by all those who knew and loved her. The Funeral Service will be held in ST. BARNABAS ANGLICAN CHURCH, 635 – 4th Street SE, on Saturday, May 4th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with The Reverend Canon D. Gene Packwood officiating. Interment will follow in the Family Plot at Hillside Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Mickis memory may be made to the Core Association, 412 – 3rd Street SE, Medicine Hat, AB, T1A 0H1.
