ERVIN HAMILTON

Ervin Edward Hamilton, RCAF Capt. Ret. passed away peacefully on October 30, 2013, at the age of 79. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marguerite Marie (nee Saucier) Hamilton; son, Douglas (Marian) Hamilton; daughter, Ann (Mike) Christie; grandsons, Josh and Ari Warhaft; brother, Clifford Hamilton and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Arnold, William and sister, Eileen. Erv loved to fly and was a pilot in the Canadian Air Force from 1955-76, where he flew fighter aircraft and helicopters. He was active in the Experimental Aircraft Assoc. and operated Air Switch Helicopters from 1976-87. He built his own airplane, loved to hunt, and enjoyed many other shooting sports. He will be sorely missed by family and friends. A Celebration of Ervins Life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Monday, November 4, 2013, at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Jim Hillson officiating.
