1941 ~ VAN WERT ~ 2013
Posted: November 7th, 2013
In loving memory of Georgina Lilian Van Wert, who fell asleep on November 4th, 2013 surrounded by her loved ones. She is forever loved by her husband, Robert Bob; and her children, Dave (Sandra) Van Wert, Pam (Jamie) Grant and Ross Van Wert; her sisters, Shirley (Merl) Westergreen and Carol (Richard) Kipta; and brother, Jim (Evelyn) Seip. She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Violet Seip; and one sister, Patricia Gobeil.
Family was very important to mom and she surrounded herself with them
.married to dad for almost 51 years, they were always side by side both in town as well as at the cabin in Elkwater. When she would get together with her sisters, Shirley and Carol, and the stories started, Im sure the laughter from the three of them could be heard down the block.
Mom raised her three children and taught us to be the best we could be in whatever we did and instilled in us her love of life and her passion for animals. She was not able to pass on her talent with flower arranging to any of us, no matter how hard she tried (sorry mom). Mom loved children, especially her five grandchildren and loved spending time with them giving them anything they wanted or needed, having tea parties, building forts in the front room and even giving up her choir gown to make a super hero cape.
Mom was devoted to her church family as well. She a lifelong member of St. Barnabas, was a past member of the choir, a member of the ACW and at the time of her passing was the president of the Altar Guild.
