1925 ~ 2013
Mrs. Garnette Denise Schneider of Medicine Hat passed away peacefully at Masterpiece Living, River Ridge on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at the age of 88 years. She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Dennis (LaDonna) Schneider of Medicine Hat; grandchildren, Alexander and Gregory Schneider of Medicine Hat as well as Dennis father, Elliot Joseph Schneider. She was predeceased by numerous siblings and extended family members. Garnette was born in Flint, Michigan on August 17, 1925, to John and Vida Willis. At a young age, her family immigrated to Alberta and settled in Medicine Hat. Garnette operated her own business as a Bookkeeper for years before retiring to pursue some of her other interests, including painting and genealogy. She was involved within the community serving with the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of D.A.R. Garnette enjoyed sports, cheering loudest when her Red Wings, Oilers or Eskimos were playing. She had a great sense of humour and a gentle soul as evident through her love of animals, especially her poodle, Scruffy. Garnettes life will be remembered through a private service to be held at a later date.
