Posted: February 20th, 2014On Tuesday, February 18th, 2014, Carl Johnson closed his eyes forever. His memory will be cherished by his three sons and their children: William (Syl and Carly); Lucas (Spencer and Dillon); and Tom (Dustin and Jaylaine (Tassie Weiss) and their son Easton); as well as his long-time companion, Myrna Woolley and her children: Trent (Jasmine and Jarrett); Raelene Pierce (Shane (Britteny Gehring), Lindsey (Dwight) Hodel) and their father, Doug Pierce; and Myrnas siblings, Patti Christensen, June (Don) Baxter, and Lee Holm and their families. Carl moved to Medicine Hat in 1966 from Westlock and worked as a truck driver in the oilfield until 1990. He and Myrna then operated CJs Burger Wagons and C & M Yard Care. After retiring in 2008, Carl spent his summers at Eagle Valley Park, making new friends and enjoying his leisure. His legacy to his sons and grandsons was his love of motorbikes. The best times of his life were spent riding his bike with friends. OH, the stories! He was proud to have been involved with the planning and riding in Medicine Hats first ever Toy Run. In honor of Carls wishes, there will be no funeral service. Each person is asked to remember him in their own special way. Rest easy Papa.
