1987 ~ HACK ~ 2014

With heavy hearts the family of Jessica Joyce Marie Hack announces her passing on March 21st, 2014. Jessica was born in Medicine Hat on June 5th, 1987. She attended George Davison and Southview Elementary School and graduated from Medicine Hat High. In Jessica’s early years she belonged to the Girl Guide movement from Brownies through to Pathfinders. She was a member of the #15 Air Cadet Squadron and received numerous perfect attendance awards. Also at this time Jessica along with her family enjoyed working together at Shooting Star Events, catering for many events. Jessica was a volunteer at the Eagles Nest Ranch for a number of years and did mission work with First Assembly of God in Mexico and Northern Ontario. After graduation Jessica was employed at the Comfort Inn. She soon realized that this was not for her so she decided to pursue one of her many loves and completed her Level one in Child and Youth Care at Medicine Hat College. Soon after she moved to Shaunavon, Saskatchewan to live with her Grandmother and found employment as a nanny. After returning to the Hat REDI Enterprises became a very important part of her life. REDI supported her in her everyday life and Vocationally at Whiskey Creek, Tumbleweeds and Subway. Jessica was also a longtime volunteer at the Dream Centre and an avid member of Bible Study. Some of Jessica’s hobbies were photography, ceramics, scrapbooking, crafts, music, board games, visiting with family and friends; either at the mall, on the bus, or at family reunions and get- togethers. We will all miss her numerous phone calls. Waiting to Welcome Jesse into Heaven are her Grandma Joyce and Grandpa Alex Bastura, Grandpa Louie Hack, Uncle Brian Bastura, Cousin Chad Friesen and on Rainbow Bridge our Little Cocoa. She will be deeply missed by her loving parents Richard and Tammy, Brother Brennen and Sister Breanna (Dave Morton). Her Grandmother Marion Hack, Nana Harriet Bastura. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and her furry buddies Diesel, Gabby and Nuckels. Jesse also leaves to cherish her memory, special friends Kevin McKenzie, Robyn Givens, Judy and George Copeman, Cindy Kunz and all her many friends and supports that she has touched over the years. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Friday, March 28th from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the DREAM CENTRE CHURCH, 1714 Saamis Drive NW, on Saturday, March 29th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Greg Keen officiating. Memorial gifts in Jessica’s memory may be made to the Redi Enterprises, 860 Allowance Avenue SE, Medicine Hat, AB, T1A 7S6, or to the S.P.C.A., 55 Southwest Drive SW, Medicine Hat, AB, T1A 8E8.
